Segundo o Pastor Raimundo Gilson, &#8220;a prioridade do nosso presidente sempre foi e continua sendo o aspecto espiritual. Nossa miss\u00e3o primordial \u00e9 o cuidado da igreja e a convers\u00e3o de almas. Contudo, enquanto aguardamos o retorno de Jesus, tamb\u00e9m somos cidad\u00e3os terrenos e isso nos envolve na esfera pol\u00edtica.&#8221; Ele acrescenta que &#8220;embora a igreja n\u00e3o seja uma institui\u00e7\u00e3o pol\u00edtica, n\u00e3o podemos ignorar seu papel na sociedade. Devido \u00e0 grande quantidade de membros, \u00e9 natural que alguns sintam voca\u00e7\u00e3o para a pol\u00edtica. Em nosso caso, somos conservadores e de direita, n\u00e3o abrimos m\u00e3o de nossos princ\u00edpios. Foi uma oportunidade para compartilhar experi\u00eancias e orienta\u00e7\u00f5es, com a presen\u00e7a de assessores jur\u00eddicos e membros experientes do partido.&#8221; Quanto ao posicionamento da igreja, o Pastor destaca que &#8220;apesar de n\u00e3o endossar explicitamente nenhum partido pol\u00edtico, a igreja tem um posicionamento conservador baseado em princ\u00edpios s\u00f3lidos. Encorajamos os membros interessados na pol\u00edtica a se informarem sobre quest\u00f5es p\u00fablicas e a defenderem suas convic\u00e7\u00f5es com integridade e servi\u00e7o \u00e0 comunidade.&#8221; Ele conclui: &#8220;A hist\u00f3ria nos mostra que a pol\u00edtica pode ser uma forma de servir a Deus e \u00e0 sociedade, desde que n\u00e3o comprometamos nossos princ\u00edpios. Devemos seguir o exemplo de figuras b\u00edblicas que serviram a na\u00e7\u00e3o e glorificaram o nome de Deus. Se decidirmos ingressar na pol\u00edtica, que seja para honrar nossos valores e glorificar a Deus em tudo o que fazemos.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery
